How confident are you at driving at this time of year? Now that the clocks have been put back, it is getting dark by 5pm and, will get dark even earlier over the next 6 weeks.
While I always try to ensure that my learners have at least one lesson of driving in the dark, for many people who learn to drive during the summer months, this is not always possible. In addition, I know that many driving instructors avoid giving lessons in the dark (which means that many people pass their test without any experience of driving in these conditions at all).
If you would like to feel a little more confident at driving in the dark, you could consider taking the Pass Plus course (which involves one module of driving in the dark and another covering the theory of driving in different weather conditions). However, if you would simply like some experience of driving in the dark (while supervised and guided by a driving instructor), you could take one or two sessions to build up your confidence. The cost of one individual (1.5 hour) session with me is £40 or two sessions would cost £70.
If there are other aspects of driving where you’d like to improve your driving skills or you would simply like to build up more confidence (e.g parking or dealing with crossroads or roundabouts), you could consider bespoke refresher sessions, which would be tailored to your specific needs.
