The minimum cost of the Pass Plus course (3 x 2 hour sessions) charged by the AA in Nottingham is £171 (with any additional sessions needed charged at £28.50 per hour).
However, I am currently charging just £155 for bookings made directly with me (i.e. nearly 10% less than the standard AA price), with any additional hours charged @ £25 per hour (12% less than the standard AA hourly rate). A further £15 discount (nearly 10%) is offered to people who learned to drive with me (and passed their driving test in my car).
For people who have not learned to drive with me but want me to deliver their Pass Plus course, I am currently offering the course with an additional free one hour included (i.e. 7 hours for the price of 6 hours). This gives us the opportunity to meet and chat, before commencing the course, gives you a little time to get used to driving my car (if using my car) and allows me to briefly assess your driving skills (to help tailor your Pass Plus course to suit your specific needs).
Pass Plus is not a driving test but a course (minimum of 6 hours) that builds on your current skills and knowledge, aiming to help you anticipate, plan for and deal with all kinds of hazards, and help you become a more confident driver.
The Pass Plus course consists of the following six modules, dealing with driving in different conditions:
Driving around a town
All weather driving
Driving in the countryside
Driving at night
Driving on dual carriageways
Driving on motorways

Having had an accident in icy conditions last year, Sheryllynne decided to have a refresher session this winter to learn how to drive in the snow or on icy roads.
Thank you for giving me the confidence to go to work this morning (and to squash this evening), as I felt that I had the skills. Thank you very much! – Sheryllynne
At this time of year, everyone who is currently learning to drive with me gets the opportunity to drive in a variety of weather conditions (snow, fog, icy roads and the dazzling sunshine of the winter sun). While some people look forward to this opportunity more than others, it does provide them with additional skills to be able to drive in the winter once they have passed their test. People who learn to drive and pass their test at other times of the year have told me that they wished that they had some lessons in winter weather conditions. While the Pass Plus course covers driving in these conditions, the module is primarily a theoretical session, unless the course is taken at this time of year. If you are one of these people, it might be worth considering an autumn/winter driving session or even requesting a single refresher session to cover driving on icy roads. If you feel that you would benefit from this please call me today on 0798 011 1234 or complete the contact form.
Today was my fifth successive pass at Chalfont Drive in the last couple of months. On this occasion, Susanna was the successful pupil, passing at her first attempt. Well done Susanna (especially given the weather conditions). It was a pleasure to support you and I wish you many happy years of driving.
Thank you again for teaching me how to learn and pass first time! I have already been recommending you as my friends/family didn’t think first time passing was possible! – Susanna
